yesterday...

turned into today but i am still on time. of course i had planned to write a post about my mom for mother's day. those who are closest to us play a significant role in the lives we lead. on this journey i have been lucky enough to have the best mom in this whole world. she taught me so many things, what it felt like to be hugged and kissed, to belong, to be strong, to have faith to take chances, to forgive, to be kind, to give back. no matter how old a mother is, she still watches her middle aged children for signs of improvement. a child with a loving mother has a best friend and a devoted follower for life. i learned the most precious things from a woman who thought for so many years she wasn't book smart enough to teach us all that we would need to know. she possesses a multitude of talents that could not be learned in any school, she taught life lessons that are far more important than you could find in any class room. her spirit and zest for life is contagious she touches everyone shes meets and always has a kind word to say, she can always reach out and find the best in everyone. her love has made an impact on all who have had the privilege of calling her mom. she is our personal angel, our biggest fan and our cherished best friend. she has been the greatest example of leading the way for our family in all good things.
mom, there really aren't' words significant enough to thank you for all you have done for us over the years. all that you have done, all that you have sacrificed, all that you have taught us, far too many things to list here. you taught me everything i need to know about being a good mom all through your example. you taught me about choosing happiness even when it's not easy. you taught me to love unconditionally and how to fully accept people without judging, how to have faith in god no matter what. you showed me how to be kind and patient and gentle. you taught me how to create a fulfilling life. how could you ever thank someone for that? i learned as i got older that motherhood is the most challenging thing i have ever done but we are also rewarded with profound joy, pure and intense emotion, infinite depts of love, and some unbelievable hilarious moments. so mom on this day i want to say - thank you - thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you are and all that you have helped me to be.

happy happy mother's day!! i love you mom xo
