happy father's day...

so....here's to you, dad. you taught me so much about how to really,  REALLY
live my life...how to be smart, how to be brave, how to be human, how to have faults, how
to overcome them, how to fall down and how to get back up no matter what.

you have created a legacy that will go on and on...

6 children, 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and i am sure there will be more to come... all who love you very, very much.

.....just like you always tell me....and now i am saying it right back to you....

"i am so proud of you!"

...and i am so, so,  so thankful for you!

happy father's day dad and happy father's day to my children's own fantastic dad!

....      and to all the guys i know who are such great dad's, have a wonderful day!  xxoo

today is actually  the 100th anniversary of father's day.  some famous quotes about father's.  xoxo

There's something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to pick up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself.
- John Gregory Brown
I can thank my father for what I am today. He was the person who backed me up when I first started on the bike as a young boy. He did everything for me.
- Bjarne Riis
My father dominated my life as long as he lived, and was the love of my life for many years after he died.
- Eleanor Roosevelt
Now in my old age I think of my father and marvel at his great courage. He was my ideal, my teacher and my great inspiration. If only I had a chance to thank him.
- Mike Lipstock
It's passionately interesting to me that the things I learned in a small town, in a very modest home, are just the things that I believe have won the election... I owe almost everything to my father.
- Margaret Thatcher

My father means everything to me.
- Michael Jordan
He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.
- Clarence Budington Kelland
I have found the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it.
- Harry S. Truman
